TZO Support - What is an Update Client used for?

A TZO dynamic DNS update client is a piece of software which somewhere on your network. The purpose of the update client is twofold: monitor your network's "shared" Internet IP address, and when that IP address changes the client will "publish" (update) the domain name you have configured with TZO. The TZO client simply automates logging into your TZO account here and manually updating your DNS records. You only need an update client is your IP address is "dynamic" (is not static).
